Hi all,

I have setup my disk on a RH 7.2
with 3 parttions

1 /dos
2 /
3 swap

I now want to increase my swap partition
Can I
        run fdisk
        remove the /dos partition
make it into a swap partition.
        format it using mkfs

Would that make RH automatically read the new swap partition
or is there something else I have to do to get RH to recognize it,
like change the /etc/fstab file ?

could I have 2 lines like this in fstab

the present swap:
/dev/hda3 swap swap defaults 0 0

the new swap:
/dev/hda1 swap swap defaults 0 0

will the "defaults" have to be changed
and what does the "0 0" stand for

best regards
