A Blast From the Past!!! I have recently accuired some parts to a TRS-80 computer. I don't know of any TRS-80 mailing lists, so I'm asking you guys. There are a few things I need help on. First of all, if I even have the right stuff. I got a 5.25 inch drive that connects by a ribbon type cable. I also have a monitor that I'll get back to. I got a box, too, which says "TRS-80 Expansion Interface". That is the sum of the stuff. I have a keyboard that would work. Is the box labelled "Expansion Interface" the main computing part? Logic says that it isn't and its just an expansion, but I've seen some pretty weird names on old hardware. The ends of the cords from the monitor were clipped off, so I need to know what sort of connector belongs on the end of the cable that connects the monitor to the computer? Is it a serial-type thing or is there a plug like in old keyboards? If anybody can answer these questions, give any advice ( besides "To the dumpster with it!!!"), or has some sort of kludge to get it working, I would be grateful for any help. One more thing: Is there any UNIX-like OS for the TRS-80? I really don't want to use MS-DOS.
Thanks in advance; Me. -- "Veni, Vidi, Deleti" (I came, I saw, I deleted your files) Absolutum obsoletum. (If it works, it's out of date.) _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
