what about 'ps aux | grep R'? How many processes have a STATE of R? > Has anyone has faces this weird behaivour? There is way i can check > who is causing this problem (looks like a false alarm). A long time ago (before 2.4) I had a couple of SMP boxes that started reporting a high load because of processes using UNIX domain sockets. The GNOME loadavg applet would keep the load at 1 all by itself. However, I was never able to show any detriment /other/ than a high reported load avg. I don't know what might cause that on 2.4.7-10, but there were errata kernels for 7.2, and you should probably test and apply them: http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2002-104.html _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
