MRTG - (multi router traffic grapher) is on redhat machines. Investigate /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf for machine traffic monitoring.
Look up something called mod_watch for apache which will let MRTG draw nice little graphs for the traffic going in and out of virtual hosts. This will let you see busy virtual hosts and approach the owners of the webspace for more money, and or psychiatric help for the grief they have caused you and other users. NTOP is also an excellent traffic monitor for machines, with built in web server. (remember that if you are going to run ntop on a machine with a webserver already on it, you should tell ntop to ilsten on a different port!)
