I would, then, suggest another approach. Download the php-4.1.2-7.1.3.src.rpm, rpm -ivh it, then modify the /usr/src/redhat/SPECS/php.spec file to point at cyrus-imap, instead, then rpm -ba php.spec to create binaries that will work for you.
Then, you can just install them from the /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386 directory, and they should install with no problem.
