thanks I will check google, I tried once but I guess it was the way I typed it in. I will just have to rephrase I guess. If it doesn't work oh well I will have ADSL in a couple of weeks anyway.

Search google on how to do this, but if you want my opinion, you're going to save a lot of time and effort by ditching the internal modem and purchasing a decent serial external one. In the past, present and future I expect, serial external modems just work. Internal soft modems are the devil's spawn, and something I wish could be uninvented.
