I used your setup, changing the filenames and paths to match files on my machine. I added an .htaccess file in a directory that was accessible to anyone. Then I limited access to one file just like you did, using the <Files> setting. It worked. >I am curious on how you put individual files under some special >directory? I used a directory under DocumentRoot that is accessible by anyone. My AuthUserFile and AuthGroupFile are under /var/www, but outside of DocumentRoot and ScriptAlias. Tony - -- Anthony E.
