I'm running KDE3 and sometimes I have shortcuts available to my
applications and sometimes I don't seem to. It seems that when I first
log in my applications will accept the keys, but after a while, it seems
that certain key bindings are not being passed into the application but
are perhaps being used by the window manager (although I'm not sure this
is what is happening - I just know the application isn't getting the
keys).

Any ideas on how to make sure that my key binding make it to my
applications?

I have gone into KDE settings and its certainly not a conflict there. I
had this problem (but worse) when I was running sawfish which is one of
the main reasons I started using KDE.

The key bindings that seem to be affected are things like C-k, C-j, C-F4,
A-F4 and things like this.

Thanks for any help!
