In my case, anyway, the problem is intermittent. If I log out and check fuser's output 4 times, I might see problems twice. If you log out and 'fuser -vm /shared' says nothing, then reboot should work fine. If not, then there's some other problem to look for. Check that out... > also if i run that > command from kde's konsole, it kills xwindows...whats up with that? It's not supposed to. 'fuser -km /shared' might, bu -vm shouldn't.
