Hi,
My current application is in ASP. Can ASP communicate with PostgreSQL database?
Till now my apps is getting data from an oracle database.

If you want to get rid of Windows, try running Oracle on Linux. Oracle
offers it for free download so you can give it a try. No porting
necessary.

If you want to give up both Windows and Oracle you may find that
PostgreSQL is a better choice than MySQL. Either way, depending of its
complexity, you'll probably have to port your application.
