I like 7.3 better than I did 7.0 > Also, it doesn't recognize my D-Link 530TX+ nic so what other nics are > recommended? Recently I replaced a motherboard and the new NIC wasn't recognized. I bought a $10 ethernet card and it worked, but the very next update from Red Hat included support for the net ethernet hardware. (And I blew all of $10 for this card...) Moral: You will probably get better hardware support from a new distribution. In *ANY* case, if you are going to be putting this box on the internet, be SURE to install all security updates and stay current with new updates. (Look in ftp://updates.redhat.com.) Out of the box 7.0 is no longer secure, there are known security holes that the scriptkiddies will use to take over your box. Similarly, with 7.3 (or any version), follow the updates! I don't know that stock 7.3 has any really bad holes yet, but there ~are~ a lot of updates for it already...keep on top of this. -kb, the Kent who updates his machines. -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
