RedHat v7.2 with all latest updates.

I just installed my Epson Stylus Color 880 on the Linux box and shared it
with Samba, because the wife was sick of having to switch my machine on to
print from hers (The server is always on).

In Windows 9x: I can log on using myself, and any other user and print just
fine.

In my Windows XP box, I can do the same for ANY user except myself. If I log
on as ANY user but myself the printer comes up as Ready and printing works.
As soon as I log on as myself, and jump to the printers and faxes folder,
the status underneath the printer says: Opening. After whatever time-out it
is (20-30 seconds I think), the status changes to : Access Denied, Unable To
Connect.

I've checked the samba settings - there's no security set for any users.

Likewise, on the XP box, there are no local users. Everything is done via
Samba (acting as PDC).

The logs don't show anything that can help me either. The only thing I saw
was this:

[2002/09/27 11:57:25, 0] rpc_server/srv_netlog.c:api_net_sam_logon(208)
  api_net_sam_logon: Failed to marshall NET_R_SAM_LOGON.
[2002/09/27 11:57:25, 0] rpc_server/srv_pipe.c:api_rpcTNP(1215)
  api_rpcTNP: api_netlog_rpc: NET_SAMLOGON failed.
[2002/09/27 12:10:09, 0]
rpc_server/srv_samr_nt.c:_samr_query_useraliases(2454)
  _samr_query_useraliases: Not yet implemented.
[2002/09/27 12:10:20, 0] rpc_server/srv_netlog.c:api_net_sam_logon(208)
  api_net_sam_logon: Failed to marshall NET_R_SAM_LOGON.
[2002/09/27 12:10:21, 0] rpc_server/srv_pipe.c:api_rpcTNP(1215)
  api_rpcTNP: api_netlog_rpc: NET_SAMLOGON failed.

But this appears regardless of who I log in as and I think is unrelated.

Anyone of any insight? Please?

Regards,
Ed.
