You need to boot into DOS from a floppy disk and run the MBR restore option of FDISK. If you boot with Windows or MS-DOS version 6 or higher (I believe it is), type "fdisk /mbr." If you are using DR-DOS or Novell DOS (which is essentially the same thing), start FDISK in the "expert" mode by typing "fdisk /x." One of the options in the menu that is displayed will be to restore the MBR. Select that.
In the newer versions of PC-DOS, MS-DOS, and DR-DOS/Novell-DOS, typing a command, followed by " /?" will produce a list of the options for that command. In this case, type "fdisk /?" for the help screen for "fdisk" On Fri, 27 Sep 2002 10:56:40 -0400 "richard pollard" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> writes: > Hello, > I am trying remove red hat from a old box.
