PM 8 is out recently, and I believe it can work with ext3. If you have ext3 partitions, you need to convert them back to ext2 (with tune2fs) before using PM 7. You might also look at GNU parted (comes with RH). I don't think it knows about ext3 yet either, but it contains similar functionality to PM. The other possibility is that sometimes partition characteristics prevent resizing from the front of the partition, so you can only resize at the end. Also, you can't move a partition to a space that overlaps itself, so you need a gap big enough to hold it. If those are your issues, then copying (tar or rsync) is probably your only option. -- Matthew Saltzman Clemson University Math Sciences [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.math.clemson.edu/~mjs -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
