Well, I took a look at that text file and it is the same one that is floating around the internet :-P... This is what I'm getting...
I install all the mods... modprobe joydev modprobe ns558 (This doesn't work, I get A device not found, so I use the gameport.o, cause the instructions state this is for the gameport joysticks. Besides, it loads :-P) modprobe analog After this, I do an lsmod and sure enough, they are there. Next, I proceed to use jstest /dev/js0 and get this error... can't open joystick device: No such device. I don't understand why this is sooo hard to set up. Other docs I have read talk about rebuilding the Kernel.... For a Joystick, don't think so :-D... Besides, I'm using Red Hat 7.3 and I checked the Joystick during the setup, so I think it is all there. Just not working for me... Any other suggestions???
