We use the brand new Compaq ML530 G2's with Red Hat 7.3. We use a rack
mount chassis, but it comes as either. Has space for 12 hot plug drives on
two channels. Look at something like the 6302/64 array controller for a
file server.

Drives (either 10K or 15K):

Array Controller:

Note that true hardware RAID (ie. with onboard CPU) are configured with a
graphical BIOS utility (SmartStart) and appears as one big drive to the
Red Hat installer.

If you want to look at the rack mount chassis's, check out the racks at

We have some of the 10 000 series... very nice!

Compaq also has a Linux page here:
http://www.compaq.com/products/software/linux/ (Contains drivers, docs,
etc.)

Hope this helps!
