if you're looking for an SQL database for your linux box, then go to
www.mysql.com. you can either download the rpm or you can download and
compile the src. your choice. if you decide to use the rpm, then make sure
you download the rpm for the client programs as well.

or if you prefer oracle, you can download the oracle database from
www.oracle.com. but oracle requires far more system resources to run.
again, your choice.
