(printconf:1786): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid cast from (NULL) pointer to `GObject'Now i have a HP LJ1100 and linuxprinting.org lists it as working perfectly under linux with the ljet4 driver...I have tried to different dev ids (ie /dev/lp0 or /dev/lp1 etc) but when i try to print even a ASCII text page i get the following error message:

There was an error printing the test page.I have RH8.0 installed on an AMD Athlon XP system...
My printer is connected to the PC and has power...printing from Windows is fine.
In the spiel i get when i shutdown, the system can't normally exit lpd for some reason...
Is there something trivial i need to do to rectify this problem?
