I previously posted here about regenerating the rc.sysinit file, but you quite rightly pointed out to me that it is not generated, just installed as is. --------Previous post--------- > Am I right in thinking rc.sysinit is generated at instalation ? My problem is that I get the following error messages when booting : - (These are taken directly from my boot log) mount: mount: mount point /proc/bus/usb does not exist rc.sysinit: Mounting USB filesystem: failed modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module hid rc.sysinit: Initializing USB HID interface: failed modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module keybdev rc.sysinit: Initializing USB keyboard: failed modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module mousedev rc.sysinit: Initializing USB mouse: failed All the USB devices on my machine work fine, its just that these messages are annoying me :-) if its any help, my /etc/modules.conf file contains the following: - -----modules.conf----- alias char-major-195 NVdriver -----modules.conf----- I just cant figure out why whatever is doing it is trying to load these modules. This is driving me crazey, please make me sane again :-) Adam -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@;redhat.com?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
