Hi all, I was going to build a new mail server using RH73 and bit's I've had lying about the place. I put the stuff together and then tried to install.
As part of the installer kernel load it checks the disk and then goes to check the partitions. At this point it hangs checking the partitions on hda (the only disk installed) with the HD access LED staying lit and nothing happening. If I boot from the HD the existing Win98 installation loads fine, and I can use the DOS fdisk to delete, create, etc without problems. If I boot from the RH CD again it hangs exactly as described above - even after doing a fdisk /MBR and deleting the DOS partition both using the DOS fdisk. I have even connected it to my workstation - running RH7.2+errata - as HDC and it hung as before (obviously now hanging while checking partitions on hdc).
