either scp or sftp are good for these purposes man pages for both should
be on your system

sftp is exactly like a command line ftp client the uses ssh as the
underying transport.

Very cool.

If you really like a gui (and I do sometimes) I used to use a program
called securepanel that used ssh and scp in the background but acted
just like a gui ftp client.
