Not true.  The internal version of ModemSURFR has worked just great for me!
Much better connections than I saw with my previous USR modem (33.6 just
prior to the X2) release.  It is a little more difficult working around the
plug and play options, if you want a specific interrupt used (had to play
with bios setup on my machine).  However if it picks an unusual interrupt
vector, you just have to use the "setserial" command to accomodate the
connection.
