I am having a bit of trouble getting my ppp connection to work
(hence my subscription to the list :-). When I run network
configurator, Everything seems to work fine up until when I try to set
the ppp0 active. I set it active, save and quit. When I restart
netconf, the ppp0 has been set back to inactive. It's rather
frustrating!
I think that I have caused this problem. I originally set up my
pppd with gppp. After I set it up, I ran pppd without any arguments and
it worked. However, I could not figure out how to shut it down. After
trying quite a few things, I simply shut down the system (properly) in
hopes it would be disconnected successfully. After I restarted, the
pppd would not do anything.
So, my questions: How can I fix this problem? What is the proper
method for starting up and shutting down a connection configured by
Network Configurator? After trying various methods of
configuring/initializing the pppd, I am becoming rather flustered.
Thanks in advance.

Chris
