Get EZPPP. It's a free utility that's available in RPM form from Red Hat's
site and many other Linux RPM mirrors. I had never used ppp on Linux and
didn't even read the HowTo's, but after I installed EZPPP, I connected
successfully to my ISP in about a minute. Be warned that EZPPP seems to have
major problems with ISDN, however.
