HELP!!!!!
I have been using my Linux box for a while now dialing into and MS NT
RAS
server. there have been no problems whatsoever, but we just upgraded the
NT
box to RRAS (routing and remote access) and now it is broken.
I'm using Diald as well, but that is just to keep the line up, nothing
else.
when I dial into the NT box I get in the event log the following:
the remote computer refused to be authenticated using the configured
authentication protocol
I have setup RRAS to use "any authentication including clear text", the
same as it was before, and I think I was using the switch -chap on pppd
so
it would work with PAP.
and when I enable dubuging on pppd I get the following:

>From what I can gather, the NT box whats to use MS-CHAP, the pppd is
saying
no, and then they drop the connection, without trying to negotiate
another
authentication protocol like pap, but this is just a guess as I am no
master of LCP and PPP
I have looked at microsofts website and have had no luck, the only thing
I
found was how to force PAP and disable chap and mschap alltogether.
Has anyone else had any luck doing this, and if so, what am I doing
wrong??
