Dear Behrad
>From the point of win95 PC. PPP connection is just the
data communication with the modem. First the win95 PC
would send out some commands through the TX to initial
the modem, make it dial out and waiting the
negotiation data from remote machine. every time when
win95 PC send out the command it would want to get a
reply from the modem like character string "OK" or
some things else.
In linux, you can set up a chat file. Whenever it
recieve the coming data it will send out the command
to initial the modem and answer the coming call.
You can edit the file in linux to make the chat file
answer the win95 like a modem. For example, when linux
receive the win95 initial string "ATH0M0" then it will
send back a string "OK". This string make win95 thing
the modem has execute the initial command and ready to
call.
There are file describe how to set up a direct connect
by this way. I can email you a chinese version few
days later.
I send this mail to you and all the friends is because
I haven't successlly setup the connection. If any body
have some words to say please don't hesitate to tell
me.
Kindly Regards
Max Zhang
