To quote one of Alex Speier's favorite words, "indeed." I was fortunate enough to be his editor for five years (shameless plug) and he's a strong reporter, an insightful guy (a Harvard man, y'know) and also a hell of a guy to tip a few beers with. WEEI was smart to hire him. Now if he could only get me a job there. My favorite Alex memory was speakng to him while he was in the Sox clubhouse in St. Louis at the end of the 2004 Series. It was noisy, as you'd imagine. And I asked him how are you doing in there? And he said, utterly exhausted, "I'm f---ing hypothermic." :) Matt

For those who care, WEEI.com actually provides some pretty nice coverage including a game-time blog. Writers include the highly likeable Rob Bradford and Alex Speier. Nice recaps. Videos. Blogs. Good stuff. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Red Sox Citizens" group.
