My guess. It used to be equal before the season started around the beginning of April.
In the past ten years or so, they avoided the possibility of snow for 7 to 10 days into April by forfeiting the right to home season openers to better climate teams. Just a feeling I've had. No data now. So, i agree with Ray. Seems like a long time. ________________________________ From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Sent: Wed Apr 01 02:46:20 2009 Subject: Opening Day? It appears that Red Sox opening day is the same day as the home opener. I can't remember the last time we opened the season at home. Is it as rare as I think?
