It was more than just the good seats (I sat in the same seats in Fenway
last week). It is the thoughtful design of the park. No obstructed
views anywhere. All seats have the appropriate sight angles to the
plate. Plenty of room between rows. Much better amenities, including
food. Parking designed to fit with the entrances, etc. Just a much
better experience.

I am not going to argue that a new park would be nice, but EVERY stadium
looks good from 3 rows behind home plate. Some of the new parks have
cheap seats that are a mile away. They make Fenway's bleachers look
like front row seats.

Sitting in the park 3 rows behind home plate. The park is
spectacular. Not a bad seat in the house. Great food, including stuff
from local, well-known vendors. Waitress service. It makes me question
my pro-Fenway position. Oh, yeah. Smoltz looks awful in person, too.
