Oh, come on. He's in the Hall of Fame because he's an 11-time all-star at
catcher, four times in the top ten of MVP voting and he holds all those
longevity records behind the plate. Plus one iconic home run. I wouldn't
have retired his number at Fenway, but I don't really mind either. It's not
like he's Tony Perez, and he's got a better case than several of those
Celtic numbers hanging in the rafters.

Plus, I don't think it was HIS decision to put his number up there, unless
he has far more power than I realize ...
