It's a tough call to be honest - without Papi's bat in 2004 & 2007 I'm not sure we win either WS, and without a bat in the DH this year I'm not sure we can either. Papi came around last year in June - I'm just not sure we can wait 5 more weeks to get him back even at 85% of his numbers 2 years ago for example. Red Sox FO is backing him for now - it will be interesting to see just how long Francona and the FO hold firm on his being a member of the lineup this year. I think by mid-June if he's not coming around, Theo is searching for a bat to replace him by the trade deadline. Course that all depends on if we are competing for the top 2 slots in our division by that time as well...
