The Yankees are apparently the front-runner to get Cliff Lee from the Mariners. And the Yankees, Rays and Sox are all interested in Jayson Werth of the Phillies, if they make him available.
The Lee thing doesn't bother me too much, as he has terrible numbers against the Sox and in Fenway. The Werth thing I don't really understand, unless either Ellsbury and Cameron are both worse off then is known. He is a FA at the end of the year, so I guess we'd be renting him. Not sure if he can play left or center. But I like him a lot as a player - he can hit, has power, is a good defender and can run. Werth-Ellsbury-Drew would be a pretty good outfield.
