PSL's are a HUGE topic of discussion and angst around here, given the new
Meadowlands Stadium that the
Giants and Jets will share and the on-going battle to sell PSL's and season
tickets. The Giants have had a
waiting list for season tickets that had thousands of people on it. The PSL's
have basically caused
the list to go away. I have a couple of neighbors that were in the 5 - 6
thousand range on the Giants waiting list,

and they both got called this year and had choices of 3 or 4 different areas
for
tickets. Both declined due to the
PSL.

In the case of Fenway, I don't think that those of us in our 50's have to worry
about a new park. Obviously, at some
point in the future, a new park will have to be build, and I am sure there is
some long-range planning going on within
the organization. But Fenway wouldn't be Fenway if it was located anywhere
else,
and I don't see them being able
to build a new park 'next door' to the old one, like the Yankees and Mets did.

Actually, this paying question gets to another reason I don't want a new park.
Many clubs use the new park as an excuse to charge season ticket holders a
multi-thousand dollar one time fee to keep their tickets.

I think I'd have to give up me seats if that happened.

Fat cats are paying. My brother in-law has season tickets to the mid-level club
seats. They are over 300 bucks per seat. Ouch.
