I have no problem with his language skills.  It's hard to learn a new
language when you're in your 30's, and I certainly would be unable to carry
on an informal conversation in Japanese after being there for 4 years.  I
agree that your Dice-K idea might work, unless they don't really like each
other.

As to the reporters demanding the right to ask a guy why he screwed up ...
F* them.  They are useless leaches.  If they can't write about what they saw
on the field without imagining themselves to be Woodward and Bernstein, then
they should give me their jobs.  Any of us could do it as well.
