So what are the odds this weekend on 4 game series? I'm calling a split
as much as I'd like to suggest 3/4 I think we will be lucky to get 2 out
of 4.

Sorry about your catcher. Here's a little more info...

According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, "Carlos Santana and the
Indians were made for each other. Rebuilding as they are, few teams
could better afford to hit a rookie catcher in the middle of the lineup
while he learned the big-league life. Santana's lessons will have to
wait until next year. He'll undergo season-ending surgery on his left
knee Friday at Cleveland Clinic to repair a strained lateral collateral
ligament in his left knee. Indians head athletic trainer Lonnie Soloff
said Santana's recovery time will be four to six months. Dr. Rick Parker
will perform the operation. The switch-hitting Santana was injured in a
collision at the plate with Boston left fielder Ryan Kalish in the
seventh inning Monday night at Fenway Park. "Carlos is expected to make
a full recovery by the beginning of the 2011 [regular] season," Soloff
said. Soloff said this is not reconstructive surgery, which usually
requires six months to a year of recovery time, because most of the
damage to Santana's knee appears to be outside the knee. When an athlete
suffers a torn anterior cruciate ligament or a posterior cruciate
ligament, those injuries take place inside the knee. Santana's surgery
does not require a ligament from a different part of his body to be
added to the injured area. The LCL in Santana's left knee is strained
(torn), but Soloff said it should be able to be repaired with existing
ligament. He said the surgery is necessary to stabilize the "lateral, or
outside aspect, of his left knee." Santana was hitting .260 (39-for-150)
with 23 runs, 13 doubles, six homers and 22 RBI in 46 games with the
Indians. He started the year at Class AAA Columbus and hit .316
(62-for-196) with 14 doubles, 13 homers and 51 RBI." - newsreporter3

So it looks like he got more than a sprain:

                Cleveland Indians catcher Carlos Santana
<http://prlb.baseball.cbssports.com/players/playerpage/1208743/carlos-sa
ntana> is set to have surgery Friday on his injured left knee and will
miss the rest of the season. Santana was hurt Monday night in a
home-plate collision with Boston's Ryan Kalish
<http://prlb.baseball.cbssports.com/players/playerpage/1630083/ryan-kali
sh> . The surgery will be performed to repair the rookie's lateral
collateral ligament. The Indians said that the recovery time is four to
six months and that Santana is expected to be ready for the 2011 season.
"This is a rare baseball operation," Cleveland trainer Lonnie Soloff
said. "It certainly could have been much worse, but we feel that we are
fortunate with the limits of the injuries that were sustained. Any
surgery on a catcher has to be approached thoughtfully and seriously."

You just hate to see a leg bend like that.
