Emotion? Competitive fervor, sure. They outposted the Yanks by a lot, but he was the best Japanese pitcher, maybe ever. The contract they signed him too was reasonable.(Barry Zito was the other SP option, and he's making $18m vs. Daisuke's $10m.)
