Not a fair trade from what I understand. Rome is a 3rd string defenseman while Horton is a top scorer for the Bs.
Although, the play seemed to fire the Bruins up last night. Maybe that will carry through the rest of the series. Given the fact the Bruins lost Horton for the same length that seems fair, although I don't know how good Rome is. I'm guessing he's not the caliber player that Norton is? No reason to think Rome won't be back. If the NHL doesn't suspend a guy for biting, why would they suspend a guy for a huge hit that resulted in an ejection? I wish they could have spread some of those goals across the next couple of games. I'm not a huge hockey guy either but after watching the game 7 between the B's and Lightning, I've really enjoyed these games (except the end result of games 1 and 2). The thing about hockey is that it just doesn't translate well to TV, like most other sports. Had the chance to attend a couple of Devils games this past season (in the owner's box! - bro-in-law's brother is a part owner) and what a difference in person. Last live hockey game was in the old Garden many many years ago.... Re: Sox - Yanks, would sure like to see Sox take 2-out-of-3. The Sox are certainly a much better team than the last time they played. Agree with Steve on all accounts including last nights shelling of the cheeky Canucks. I am not normally a hockey fan but watching that game last night showed some ugliness that cries out for sportsmanship to rise up. There are going to be some major infractions given out tomorrow night if Rose is back on the ice during this series... I like the Lester matchup with Garcia tonight. You never know what you are gonna get from Wake, but the CC/Beckett matchup on Thu could be a classic. It would be good to take 2 of 3 and come away with an AL East tie. Honestly though, my focus is on the Bruins these days. I'm not a huge hockey guy, but last night's game was fun to watch.
