I personally think it's preposterous they're even considering pitching this guy - if they are.
He hasn't faced an actual batter in since JUNE. He's coming back from a back injury, and he's going to ride in on the white horse and save the bullpen? C'mon, if we don't have anyone other than Aceves and Papelbon than we've got zero chance in the playoffs. Lester sucks. Beckett sucks. Lackey sucks. Make those guys shape up before risking Buchholz.
