If that's it - Ellsbury keeping to himself, Youk being grouchy, papi calling for Ace to start - then some people are just way too sensitive. I still part of the captain's role is to manage the clubhouse. Tek should have nipped the griping about Ellsbury in the bud last year and should have told Youk to STFU about Ells this year, if what McMullen says is true. Some things need to be handled by the players, and the captain needs to lead that effort. Make Pedroia captain and I suspect he won't be afraid to get in anyone's face.
