Here's what bothers me most about the article. At no point does Hohler tell us that Lucchino, Henry or Warner refused to comment. He doesn't even mention the Trio except to describe the owner of the yacht.
He does cast a wide... "This article is based on a series of interviews the Globe conducted with individuals familiar with the Sox operation at all levels. Most requested anonymity out of concern for their jobs or potential damage to their relationships in the organization. Others refused to comment or did not respond to interview requests." But to not SPECIFICALLY state that he reached out to the ownership and they declined to comment tells me one thing. They did comment on the grounds that he not drag them into the story. And he probably refused to insert "declined to comment" because they actually had commented. I'm beginning to feel some shame about this ownership. No, they're not racist rednecks like the Yawkey's but I'm not sure they're too many rungs up the decency ladder.
