Enjoying the EEI podcasts. Learned * Daniel Bard expects to be starting this year. Says he just wants to help the ball club so he's open to anything, but he's interested in a promotion to either starter or closer, naturally. *Bard says the Sox watched the Yankees blow the lead to the Rays on the last day of the year. It deflated them a bit. Says in hindsight they probably would have been better off not seeing that happen.
Also listened to a discussion with one of the producers of "The Zen of Bobby V," a ESPN documentary about valentine in Japan. * The Red Sox have or had a partnership with the team that Bobby Valentine managed, so there's a connection there. * Valentine had other offers to manage in states while he was in Japan but didn't pursue them. I guess I've warmed to the idea of Valentine managing. Definitely a good publicity move. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Red Sox Citizens" group.
