Permit me to put my knucklehead sports radio host hat on for a
second.....Belichick has been downright cordial to the media this week, a
refreshing change in my book. Is he reallly just trying to set the tone for
the team or is it POSSIBLE that he sees this as his last trip to the big
show and he's choosing to enjoy it.

Will he retire after this season? Especially if they win....

Just as an aside, Heath Evans was on the radio the other day saying he
Belichick rode the team a little too hard in the week preceding the last
superbowl. Practices were tough and, perhaps more damaging, he forced the
Pats to move to another hotel the night before the Superbowl to get them
away from the distracctions. Problem was the new hotel was a disaster (poor
scouting by the travel folks) and the team didn't really get comfortable.

He repeatedly said he didn't want to blame that on the loss and
begrudgingly credited the Giants for being the better team that day.

Anyway, this morning Belichick said the team will not be moving to another
hotel.
