I dunno, I was always under the impression that most teams put most of their 
players on waivers after July 31, 'just in case'.... But
I guess if the Dodgers felt that Beckett could help them, then maybe someone 
figures that Dice-K could help them for the next 6 weeks....

This is probably an indication that the Sox have a trade in the works.  He 
would have to clear waivers before he is traded.  I seriously doubt he would be 
claimed on waivers given the salary he carries.
