Swisher is a better, more consistent hitter and he hits from both sides of the plate. He's also good at taking a walk -- an ability the lineup was seriously lacking last year -- and can play first base in addition to the OF corners. Ross should be platooned but wants to play full-time, and we've already got one platoon OF in Gomes.
