Stu,
I recently bought a "green merulina". As best I can tell it's some species
of hydnaphore (very similar to acropora). The hydnophore family name is
merulinidae. Mine is plate shaped with four brown branching columns rising
from the fluorescent green plate base, but according to Delbeek and Sprung
the colonies can have many different forms. Again per D&S, they prefer
medium to very bright light and strong currents, grow well in the right
conditions and will take small foods such as brine shrimp and small worms (I
haven't tried that). HTH - good luck.

> I went to my lfs today a saw a really nice fluorescent coral that the
owner said it was a green merulina, which was in the acropora family. It
did not look like a acropora so I was wondering if anyone knows what this is
and the requirements for it are?
