My Actinic(blue) lights come on at 8:00 am and off at
10:00PM My sunlight ones come on at 9:00AM and off at
9:00 PM that makes the sun on for 12 hours with a
hour of sunrise and a hour at sunset. You should do a
lot more research on your lighting 4 watts to the
gallon is a rule of thumb ONLY. It really matters what
you want to keep(SPS, LPS, softies, clams) etc. You
need to find out what you want to keep than figure
your lighting wattage. Some things for our reefs will
not THRIVE under your lights while some will go crazy
with your lights and be very happy.
