I dosed my tank with coppersafe, waited thirty days & dosed again. I
know now I should have used a hospital tank since the main tank has live
sand. I have no doubts that this was not good for the live sand. However, I
still see some traces of ick, there are tiny white specks that crawl on the
glass, & today I found several amphipods.
Could this mean my live sand is ok? Before I saw the amphipods today I
had considered buying some things from IPSF to get the sand going again. Now
I wanted to get some opinions.
I know now how to best treat the trigger, but wonder how best to treat
the sand. Should I wait & hope the sand recoops, or send IPSF some $$$$ ? The
tank has no bio type filtration, only a skimmer & sump.
