Tracy,
I use Spectrapure, and have known ppl that have purchased the kent unit to
later, reaplace the kent "cartridges" with spectrapure. IMO, spend the extra
few bucks and get the best from the beginning. Also, do yourself a favor,
and call Spectrapure at 480-894-5437. The contact there (their technician)
is named Charles Gibbs. He is a really good guy and will take the time with
you to make sure you are getting the best unit for your needs. He will also
spend the time to explain exactly how to set the thing up. I am about 5
miles away from their manufacturing facility, and have visited them (with
questions and in search of parts) a few times. I have always been impressed
with their facility, their customer service and the quality of their units.

IMO

Shane C.

Hello list! I need your input, I am finally going to purchase a
RO/DI unit
        but have some questions
Are they hard to set up? Do I need a special pump in addition to
the unit
itself to maintain pressure into the unit.
Can they be hooked up to the faucet and disconnected, I am now using
TWP and
I'm tried of having to order refill cartridges
I'm not a plumber and don't want to get something I can't set up.
How do
most of you have yours set up?
And which one to order? I don't have a ton of cash to spend. I do
have
well water in one of the purist areas of our land (great lakes
aquifer) we
do have a lot of iron in our water probably calcium too. Thanks for
any
        info.
