Hello, I checked the water in my city and found out the water out of the tap
contains.
370 PPM of dissolved solids
.004 nitrates
9 micrograms/litre or about 36 per gallon of phosphate
4.7 millgrams/litre or 20 per gallon of silicate
I really dont know if these are high amounts or good amounts does anyone out
there know about this??
Steve

I live in San Antonio. The water here is very hard and high in silicate. I
have a DI system for home filtration and then run that through an R/O unit.
Water for reef systems is "lab grade." I am using a Kent HiS R/O now and it
works great. You can also Email Kent Marine and get more info.
