I use it in my maintank as a preventative and as a therapeutic in my Qtank.
It seems to helps newly introduced fish heal faster (bacterial, parasitic,
wounds ). Check the www.athiel.com site - search for vitamin C
http://www.athiel.com/infobase.htm

I'm sure that the acetic qualities of the vitamin C also helps balance the
calcium/alkalinity. You might also want to check out Craig Bingman's

My thoughts on problematic algaes are caused by high nutrient levels & lack
of water movement.

When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and
love has always won. There have been tyrants and murderers and for a time
they seem invincible but in the end, they always fall -- think of it,
ALWAYS. --Mahatma Gandhi
